Webinar on economic security and investments in third countries with David Wilkens, BMWE, Co-Head of Division VE4 – Economic Security.

Following its White Paper on investments in third countries, the EU Commission published a recommendation in January this year which aimed primarily at EU Member States. It aimed at gathering information and analysing risks associated with EU investments in the fields of semiconductors, AI, and quantum technologies. The EU Commission expects initial feedback from member states by July 15, 2025.

This was reason enough to hear first-hand from David Wilkens about the German government’s plans, economic security requirements, and the further timeline for any EU projects.
